# BookHost

> Managed BookStack hosting for teams. A private BookStack wiki with hosting, maintenance, security updates, daily backups (seven-day retention) and restore help, on Hetzner infrastructure in Germany or Finland. One plan: €39/month plus applicable VAT, 14 days free without a card. Optional betas: reviewed document intake, "Ask your wiki" answers with named source pages (non-personal content only while in beta), and agent access over MCP for Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and Codex.

BookHost is an independent hosting service operated by productivity-boost.com Betriebs UG (haftungsbeschränkt) & Co. KG, Passau, Germany. BookStack is MIT-licensed open-source software; BookHost is not affiliated with its maintainers.

## Connect your agent
- MCP endpoint (Streamable HTTP): https://<workspace>.bookhost.co/mcp — one per workspace, beta
- Authentication: `Authorization: Bearer <token id>:<token secret>` — a BookStack API token of a user in that workspace whose role has "Access system API". Owners and admins create a dedicated agent user and token in the dashboard.
- Every call acts as that BookStack user; BookStack permissions apply. A token works only on its own workspace.
- Write mode per workspace: Off, Propose only (default: edits wait for owner/admin approval) or Direct.
